Oxytetracycline 5%.

 

Function:

Broad spectrum antibiotic. Useful in the treatment of gram +, gram – and rickettsial bacteria.

 

Composition:

 

Each 1 mL of solution for injection contains:
Oxytetracycline base (as Oxytetracycline Hydrochloride 54mg) 50mg
csp excipients 1mL

Dose:

In cases of bovine anaplasmosis:

10 mg of oxytetracycline/Kg of weight (equivalent to 20mL of the product per 100 Kg of weight), generally a single dose is enough; if necessary, repeat once every 24 hours.

For other indications and species: 5-10 mg/Kg, administer every 24 hours for 3-5 days.

Route of Administration / Mode of Use:

Intramuscular, intravenous and subcutaneous.

Indications

In cattle, horses, pigs, sheep, goats, dogs, birds (chickens, pullets) and cats for the treatment of infections caused by Anaplasma sp., Rickettsia sp., Streptococcus sp., Escherichia coli, Pasteurella sp., Haemophilus sp., Leptospira sp., Shigella sp., Campylobacter sp., and Listeria sp.

Precautions

Withdrawal time: Treated animals should not be slaughtered for human consumption until 21 days after the end of treatment. Milk produced during treatment and 7 days after the end of treatment should not be given for human consumption.
