Procaine penicillin G, Potassium penicillin G, Streptomycin and Triamcinolone. 

 

Function:

It is an association that guarantees powerful, fast and lasting action, with a broad spectrum. Useful in bacterial diseases complicated by inflammatory processes, respiratory, reproductive and urinary tract infections.  

 

Composition:

 

Each bottle of BENPROPEN 2 MUI contains:
Procaine penicillin G 1,500,000 IU
Penicillin G Potassium 500,000 IU
Streptomycin 2.5g
Triamcinolone Acetonide 5mg
Each bottle of BENPROPEN 4 MUI contains:
Procaine penicillin G 3,000,000 IU
Penicillin G Potassium 1,000,000 IU
Streptomycin 5g
Triamcinolone Acetonide 10mg
Each bottle of BENPROPEN 6 MUI contains:
Procaine penicillin G 4,500,000 IU
Penicillin G Potassium 1,500,000 IU
Streptomycin 7.5g
Triamcinolone Acetonide 15mg

Product Presentations:

2 MIU, 4 MIU, 6 MIU

Dose:

Edo Benpropen : 2 MIU. Dose: It is recommended to apply 1 mL of the reconstituted product for every 20 kg of weight.

Edo Benpropen : 4 MIU: Dose: It is recommended to apply 1mL of the reconstituted product for every 20 Kg of weight. 

Edo Benpropen : 6 MIU: Dose: It is recommended to apply 1 mL of the reconstituted product for every 20 kg of weight.

Frequency: Every 12 hours for 3 days or at the discretion of the Veterinarian. 

Reconstitution:

Edo Benpropen 2 MIU: Add 8mL of sterile diluent to the vial of BENPROPEN 2'000.000 IU (total volume 10.0mL); shake until a homogeneous suspension is obtained.

Edo Benpropen 4 MIU: Add 16mL of sterile diluent to the vial of BENPROPEN 4'000.000 IU (total volume 20.0mL); shake until a homogeneous suspension is obtained.
After reconstituted use immediately.

Edo Benpropen 6 MIU: Add 24mL of sterile diluent to the vial of BENPROPEN 6'000.000 IU (total volume 30.0mL); shake until a homogeneous suspension is obtained.
After reconstituted use immediately.

Route of Administration / Mode of Use:

Deep intramuscular route exclusively.

Indications

In cattle, sheep, horses, pigs, goats and dogs;
for the treatment of infections of the respiratory, urinary and reproductive tracts, produced by microorganisms sensitive to penicillin G and/or to Streptomycin such as: Streptococcus sp., Actinobacillus sp., Corynebacterium sp., Clostridium sp., Leptospira sp., Actinomyces sp., Bacillus anthracis, Erysipelothrix sp., Fusobacterium sp. Listeria sp., Haemophilus sp., Escherichia coli., Campylobacter sp.

contraindications

Do not administer to patients sensitive to penicillin G or Procaine. These can cause from hypersensitivity reactions (urticarial manifestations) to anaphylactic shock.

Precautions

Do not administer to cats. Do not administer in the last third of pregnancy. It is recommended to use sterile injectable sets. Do not mix in the same syringe or container with any other product.

Withdrawal time: Treated animals should not be slaughtered for human consumption until 30 days after finishing treatment. The milk produced during the treatment and 6 days after the end of the treatment should not be given to human consumption.

Keep out of reach of children and pets

Keep in a cool place, protected from light and humidity.
